Cllr. Jane Horgan – Jones and I held our bi – monthly Policing Forum for the Calderwood / Gracepark area last Monday, October 14th.
The event was a huge success with a good turnout and a series of engaged discussions about local issues.
In particular the issue of overheight trucks was raised.

The derogation contained in Statutory Instrument 366 of 2008 – Road Traffic (construction and Use of Vehicles) (Ammendment) Regulations, 2008, permitting certain classes of vehicles which were first registered, licensed or in use before 1st November 2008 to exceed 4.65 metres in height, terminates on 31st October 2013 and he has no proposals to extend it.
